Papertrey Ink: Feb 12 Blog Hop

I still haven’t received my PTI February release package… which I am a little disappointed since I was hoping to play with the zipper die. For this interactive card, I made a little pull out gift card or mini photo (instax) holder.  It’s a nice little card to brighten up someone’s day!

This is what is comes with: a little insert telling you insert your gift card for your recipient.

The holder with a real gift card:

Rainbow Birthday

So I cut up another one of those bus passes (found a few in my coat pocket!), used a few sponges and dabbed it all over the white cardstock to mimick patterned paper. Pierced lines in the middle of the white gaps and then put a sentiment near the middle on foam tape. Simple and clean :)

Papertrey Ink: Interactive

I put a little spin wheel on the card that spells out b.i.r.t.h.d.a.y. though I could’ve been a bit more creative and made it say something else =P I’m definitely looking forward to owning the zipper dies because I love ripping those off cracker/biscuit/cereal boxes!

One Layer Thanks

After a “hearts” card, I wanted to make a “stars” card.  I wanted to try a one-layer card (aside from the self-made twine and some rinestones). I never liked making one-layer cards because anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.  The sentiment here was a little more crooked than I hope it would be.

Close Up:

I didn’t have any solid star stamps nor star punches to make my stencil so I decided to draw them on some sturdy cardstock – my used bus passes!  I didn’t have a small circle stamp either so I punched a small circle onto the bus pass and used it as a stencil.  I’m saving these for any future cards! I stenciled everything onto a piece of white cardstock and used some Stampin’ Up dimensionals to adhere over a black card base.

And this card is entering in Moxie Fab’s Cure of Winter Blues. I’m now addicted to Moxie Fab and watching the blog daily for any Moxie Fab inspiration!

Papertrey Ink: Sketch

A very simple card based on a PTI sketch. I wanted the card to be as simple as possible so I had to resist putting in a lot of embellishments onto the card. I was planning to make the card for my boss but after adding the rinestones, it became a little bit too girl. Another card to add to my stash for the year!
