One Layer Thanks

After a “hearts” card, I wanted to make a “stars” card.  I wanted to try a one-layer card (aside from the self-made twine and some rinestones). I never liked making one-layer cards because anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.  The sentiment here was a little more crooked than I hope it would be.

Close Up:

I didn’t have any solid star stamps nor star punches to make my stencil so I decided to draw them on some sturdy cardstock – my used bus passes!  I didn’t have a small circle stamp either so I punched a small circle onto the bus pass and used it as a stencil.  I’m saving these for any future cards! I stenciled everything onto a piece of white cardstock and used some Stampin’ Up dimensionals to adhere over a black card base.

And this card is entering in Moxie Fab’s Cure of Winter Blues. I’m now addicted to Moxie Fab and watching the blog daily for any Moxie Fab inspiration!

Used: Black cardstock | White cardstock | Memento Tuxedo Black | Stampin’ Up Brilliant Blue | Stampin’ Up Bordering Blue | Stampin’ Up Brocade Blue | PTI Sending a Big Thank You | Gelly Roll White Pen | Rinestones
