Papertrey May Blog Hop Challenge

I’m just glad I got the card done well ahead of the Papertrey Ink’s May Blog Hop Challenge since my relatives took over my room – which means they also took over my computer.

I was inspired by the color scheme of the inspiration photo this blog hop, so I made a very simple thank you card.  Bummer I didn’t have a gingham stamp.

Shiny embossing powder :D

Simple Thanks

Lawnscaping #34 – Embossed Hearts

It’s my first time entering into the Lawnscaping Challenge!

I really wanted to use a stamp set from Lawn Fawn – especially because this challenge is dedicated to Lawn Fawn stamps – but I only have 1 set and I’m out of ideas from using it too often.  So instead, I picked a less used stamp set: Heart-2-Heart #1 from Papertrey Ink.  I don’t think I’ve ever used the four little hearts ever since I got the stamp set!

A close up of the embossing. As you can see, I had a little mishap with my stamping… a very fat light pink heart on the side :)

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI (White)

Ink: Impress (Strawberry, Pink Lemonade, Sugar)

CFC #53 – 24th Birthday

More block number dies! This week’s CAS-ual Friday Challenge is to use punches or dies on a clean & simple card. Since I have a lot of friends turning 24 this year, I decided to make a “24″ birthday card for her :)

I love all the number above “24″ that still remains dark gray! Super fun card to make – and you can make it a birthday card for all the different ages, or even letters with a single word on the bottom.

24th Birthday

This will be entered into Simon Says Stamp Clean & Simple challenge.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI (Smokey Shadow, Raspberry Fizz)
Stamps: PTI (Birthday Basics)
Ink: Tsukineko (Versamark Champagne)
Other: PTI (Block Alphabet Numbers die) rinestones

Make It Monday #66 – Clouds

I really wanted to try Ashley’s Make It Monday with the same type of card as before.  I die cut two small clouds in light blue and blue, then added the stars from the star border die.  Using the scraps from the border die, I rolled up three flowers, two in dark yellow and the middle one in light yellow.

Cloud of Flowers

Here is the card “disassembled” where the magnet is taken off.  Next time, I’m going to try to make a barrette, a pin or a keychain.  I think it’s cute to give the recipient a card and gift this way!

Make It Monday #66 – Flower Magnet

Today is another Make It Monday with Ashley Cannon Newell making felt flowers. What a coincidence that two days ago, I just purchased some felt!

The felt from Yokoyaya is pretty good.  My dies made pretty good cuts with them because the felt itself is pretty thin, however cuts could be improved if I replaced my cutting board.

Felted Flower Magnet

Here is the card “disassembled” where the flower magnet is taken off. The card has a dashed box where the recipient can put the flower magnet back on.
