Moxie Fab & CFC #59 – Baby Boy Bun

This is going to be a crazy long post. Like really crazy – as in 3 cards entered into 4 challenges. A very productive week of card making. My prize from Lawn Fawn came on Friday and I’m having lots of fun stamping away. Thank you Kelly for sponsoring CAS-ual Friday Challenge with a generous gift certificate!

My first card goes to Moxie Fab’s Tuesday Trigger: Man-tastic challenge. One of the sets from Lawn Fawn that I got was Blissful Botanicals and it arrived JUST in time for me to enter the challenge! Moxie Fab is also showcasing Thank You cards from Stamp It! Cards issue in which I’m also entering this card.

I did some embossing for the vine outline so that when I color the leaves in, it won’t bleed too much.
Leafy Thanks

My second card goes to CAS-ual Friday Challenge. This week is a tough challenge where we are to create a CAS card with two circles. This is really tough. After lots of trials and errors, this happened :)

Baby Boy Bun

I got Plus One from Lawn Fawn as well. I waited for this set to be back in stock… and it was a long wait – but totally worth it.

PS Sparks Challenge: Sweet Birthday

I bought my first set of Paper Smooches stamp set which arrived this week and I could barely wait to stamp a card with them! Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge this week is to create a card using this inspiration photo. Since Moxie World is showcasing their new Stamp It! Cards magazine, I thought it would only be appropriate to join the challenge with this stamp!

I decided to focus on the color palette of pink, orange and yellow to create a birthday card.

Papertrey June Blog Hop Challenge

Took a little time off from studying to get my card ready for Papertrey Ink’s June Blog Hop Challenge. I originally wanted to do some ribbon pleating, but it didn’t quite work out for me.

I chose to work the the same color palette from the inspiration photo and did some floral stamping.

CFC #58 – Pink Bicycle

Back again for very pink CAS-ual Friday Challenge! This time, I did a little bit of masking and stamped a bunch of pink hearts in the back, then stamped and embossed a bicycle on top. I’ve always wanted a bicycle stamp and thanks to Kanani, I got this amazing bicycle stamp!

Right after I stamped the bicycle, I was lost as to what sentiment to use. I think this sentiment fits the card best – imagine a romantic scene where the guy is riding a bicycle to his girl, sending her a bouquet of flowers. Wow, that sounds so cheesy *OTL

Pink Bicycle

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI (White, Berry Sorbet)
Stamps: PTI (Heart-2-Heart #1, Shakers & Movers sentiments) Studio G (bicycle stamp)
Ink: PTI (True black) Impress (Strawberry, Pink Lemonade, Sugar)
Other: Stampendeous (clear embossing powder) Rinestones (crystal, pink)

CFC #67 – Vellum Flags

Super simple card for CAS-ual Friday #67. For me, adhering vellum yet trying to hide the adhesive is a nightmare, which is why I love stitching the vellum in place. I colored a few pieces of vellum with copic markers and hand-stitched them to the top of the card. Can you believe this card took me nearly 3 hours to make?  Of course if I had a sewing machine this probably would take me 1 hour max.

Flags

A close up of the card. The flags aren’t completely adhered down to the card, adding a bit of dimension to the card.
