CFC #63 – Sorry

I decided to give CAS-ual Friday Challenge another try. I had recently stamped and cut out the little umbrella from Lawn Fawn’s Plus One but I never got around to using it. Well, this card? It’s just… cute.  And that’s it. It feels like it’s missing something.  But what is it?  These days, I’m very tempted to add layers and layers onto the card.

Sorry

Cardstock: PTI (White)
Stamps: PTI (Background Basics: Circles, Big & Bold Wishes) Lawn Fawn (Plus One) Pape Smooches (Reflection)
Ink: Stampin’ Up (Brilliant Blue, Cool Caribbean, Soft Sky) Impress (Basil) PTI (True Black) Copic (BG10, BG15)

CFC #63 – Thinking of You

This week’s CAS-ual Friday Challenge is definitely a challenge for me! Playing with three colors for this card: lime, aqua & navy. Although I rarely use these colors, I did manage to find some ink pads to match the colors required.

But first, completely off topic is this amazing find by my mom: a wooden cassette shelf, perfect for my inks pads, and only for $3.99! And look at those ink pads, resting so beautifully on the shelf :)  Although not enough space for all my ink pads, I’m still very excited to finally be able to see most of my ink pads all at the same time instead of having to go through my shelves.

New Ink Shelf

As for the card, I think I must’ve ditched at least a dozen tries before I got to this card. And even so, I’m not entirely satisfied by my take on the color challenge.  If Papertrey Ink decides to go for a First Aid Challenge, I’d definitely submit this.

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

New stamps arrived today so I couldn’t help but create a new card for Papertrey Ink’s July Blog Hop Challenge. I originally planned to use all five colors – but some of them look so similar when stamped out that I decided to just stick with the 3 main colours.

I thought I’d dedicate this card to those who made Papertrey Ink’s Stamp-a-Faire possible. I had an amazing time watching and rewatching the videos and trying out different techniques. I must say Danielle’s Washi Tape tutorial was amazing :)

Million Thanks

On a completely irrelevant note, I finally found a more decent place in my house for taking pictures!

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI (Soft Stone, White)
Stamps: PTI (Iconic Images, Signature Series: Butterfly)
Ink: PTI (Simply Chartreuse, Berry Sorbet, Smokey Shadow) Stampin’ Up (Summer Sun)
Other: PTI (Rustic cream twine) Basic Grey (Button) Rinestones (Clear, Pink)

Stamp-a-Faire 2012 Projects

Well, after Papertrey Ink’s Stamp-a-Faire is over, I finally have time to get started on my projects!

Ribbon Techniques Challenge

LOVE Erin’s tutorial – pretty obvious since I love working with negative die cuts.  I used some American Crafts twill ribbon for my project today.  I chose two cute colors – perfect for a baby girl’s christening.

Baby Christening

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI (White)
Stamps: PTI (Inside & Out: Thank You)
Ink: Stampin’ Up (Sage Shadow)
Other: PTI (clouds die) American Crafts (ribbon, thickers) Button, Rinestones

Homemade Embellishments

I decided to follow Heather and do a little felt embellishment!  I’m not good with stitching so I went mainly with my trusty scor-tape to adhere everything together.  And there you have it, a mini camera badge!

Stamps: PTI (Inside & Out: BIrthday)

Camp Card Set Challenge

Using Jessica’s technique, I used Heart-2-Heart #3 as my focal point for my card set.

Thank You Hearts

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI (Rustic White)
Stamps: PTI (Heart-2-Heart #3, Inside & Out: Thank You, Trendy Tree Tops)
Ink: PTI (True Black, Pure Poppy, Orange Zest, Harvest Gold, Simply Chartreuse, Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky)
Other: PTI (Heart-2-Heart #3 die) Basic Grey (button) Rinestones (pink, clear, green, blue)

Limited Supply Challenge

I have none of the required supplies except for the appropriate color of cardstock and a button that is very close to Simply Chartreuse!  So with a very very limited supply list, I created a very simple sympathy card.

It’s been awhile since I last posted! Today, I have a card for CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. I have strips of color going down the back of the card in Sage Shadow and Smokey Shadow using a stamp from my most recent purchase. And of course the little bun in the oven stamp from Lawn Fawn’s Plus One.

I’ve been making quite a lot of baby cards these days for a few friends – I’m so happy I got this stamp set from the amazing Lawn Fawn!
