PS Sparks – Happy Birthday!

I’m excited to be back with another week of Paper Smooches Sparks with 4 Cool Shades this week :)

And this week’s Cool Shades is yellow, mint, turquoise and green!

I used the light bulb from Freezy Fellas and stamped in repeatedly under the hand-stitched “strings” and coloured it in the cool shades colors.  Then I finished the card off with a sentiment from Sentiment Sampler.  Finally, a true one-layer card!

Here’s a close up of the light bulbs.  I added some glossy accents to each light bulb to make them look a little more realistic :)

CFC 101 – Birthday Party Dots

CAS-ual Friday Challenge is back this week after two 2-week challenges. This time, we are stamping on pattern paper!

I have to say I had troubles with this. Most of my pattern paper are too busy, but I finally found a rather less busy pattern – yellow gingham ♥ I stamped the circles and dots from Amazeballs and decorated it with some enamel dots.

For some of the circles, I used a white gel pen and colored it in. Other circles, I filled it in with glossy accents. Some solid brown dots were colored in with a glitter pen.

Glitter Birthday Jar

Yay for a non-DT, non-scheduled post! Homework 99% completed, one more month until exam, so I thought some craft time was needed to relieve the stress.

Today, I pulled out a stamp from Unity: Jar of Sunshine. I’ve always wanted a mason jar stamp but I thought this was way too big to put on a card. But I still wanted to use the stamp, so I decided to hop on the shaped card bandwagon and made a little mason jar shaker.

I added a lot of coarse glitter from Martha Stewart as well as some silver flat sequins.

Since there wasn’t room for me to put the age, I decided die cut a Little Label from Papertrey Ink and adhered a glittered “2″.

Neat & Tangled: Across the Card

May13-Release

We are at the last day of May’s release and Neat & Tangled is bringing in stamp set where you can stamp across the card: Across the Card.

I stamped the stripes from On the Strip 2 in four colors on the card panel. Then I stamped the sentiment from Across the Card and cut it out and adhered it over the stripes.

Remember, all 3 stamp sets that we are showcasing this week as well as the 4 new sequin colors will be released on May 8 at 8am EST in the shop!

CFC 100 – Happy 100th!

We are back again with another 2 week CAS-ual Friday Challenge. This week, we are celebrating CAS-ual Friday’s 2nd birthday and 100th challenge with one of the top 10 challenges of all time: Tic Tac Toe! Choose a row and play!

I decided to go for: polka dots • square card • birthday with my favorite kitty stamp. I used some twine to border the card and to make a bow for my kitty’s dress.
