Runway Inspired Challenge #33

Welcome back to another Runway Inspired and this week, we have Amber from Damask Love guesting with us!  I feel horrible bombing my blog with challenges and some guest design posts that are scheduled to be up later this month.  I haven’t had much time crafting these months and it probably will be like this until mid-June after my last exam.

This week’s card came to be in an instant (something I like!) and I think it’s pretty easy to see why.  I stamped some florals from Wplus9′s Folk Art Florals in two opposite corners and finished it off with a sentiment in the middle.  A simple one layer card that could be easily mass-produced.

Papertrey March Blog Hop Challenge

Papertrey Ink’s March Blog Hop Challenge is one my favorite: sequins! I bought a few bags of flat back sequins during my trip in Hong Kong and loved using them on my projects.

I couldn’t help but make another shaker card with sequins :) For the border, I used some fabric tape that I bought from Hong Kong.

Get Well Wishes

Here’s a close up of the coarse glitter, blue-green, pink and silver flat sequins in the shaker cloud.

CFC #94 – Chipboard Hearts

TGIF – It’s another CAS-ual Fridays Challenge again! We are using chipboards in our CAS creations this week, so it’s time for you to break into those chipboard thickers, and other embellishments that you’ve been hoarding ;)

To be honest, I don’t own a lot of chipboard supplies. So if you’re like me, you can try creating your own chipboard embellishments with Papertrey Ink’s coasters. I die cut a few hearts with Wplus9′s Folk Art Florals Die and glued them together.

CFC #94 - Chipboard Hearts

I stamped the brush stroke from CAS-ual Friday’s Breathe in a pink gradient and a sentiment from the same set. I finished the card off with some self-made chipboard hearts, adding some shine with a Sakura Stardust gelly roll pen.

This card will also be entered into Moxie Fab’s Ombre challenge for the ombre stamping.

I hope you will join the fun along with us this week as the fabulous prize that is up for grabs is a $20 gift certificate to CAS-ual Fridays Stamp!

CFC #73 – Have Faith

(For my Neat & Tangled Release post, please see below.)

WOW! I can’t believe how many CFC I missed! I’ve been wanting to join in on the last one but my studies are keeping me busy. This week’s CAS-ual Friday challenge is very meaningful, especially when October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Have Faith

A close up of the card. I recently came across Tasnim‘s blog and I was blown away by her Runway Inspired Challenge card! Her patience and fussy-cutting skills leave me in awe :)  The background was done with watercoloring using ink pads.

CFC #65 – Refuge & Strength

Joining in for CASE Study 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop and CAS-ual Fridays with a square card. For me, any card that’s not rectangular is hard for me, so I challenged myself to join in on CFC and make a square card. And as much as I love white spaces, I always feel like something is missing!

Same goes with this card. I kept telling myself to stop adding things to the card.  Buttons?  More twine?  Some bling?  I stopped myself after adding the twine :)

Refuge & Strength

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI (Rustic White)
Stamps: PTI (Beautiful Blessings) WPlus9 (Folk Art Florals)
Ink: PTI (Simply Chartreuse, Smokey Shadow)
Other: Recollection (vellum) PTI (Rustic Cream Twine) WPlus9 (Folk Art Florals Die)
