Neat & Tangled: Sunburst

May13-Release

Today, Neat & Tangled is bringing in a mini set that’s perfect for the summer: sunburst! Not only is it perfect for summer, but it’s a great complement to the Sparkle and Shine stamp set you saw yesterday.

I stamped the sunburst in two colors directly onto the card base with the darker yellow on the outside. The light bulb is from Sparkle and Shine, coloured with copic markers and outlined with a glitter pen.

Runway Inspired Challenge #35

It’s time for Runway Inspired!  Now I’m just finishing up my last assignment for my course and getting ready for my final exam.  I’m definitely looking forward to all the craft time I will soon get!

I was inspired by the black going down the front of the outfit and the black stripes across the blue outfit.  I blended some distress ink from the bottom of the white panel and stamped a few lines going across.  I cut a banner down the right side and popped the panel on a black cardbase.

Sending Prayers

I’m not good at coloring when it comes to butterflies.  So instead, I cut the up the butterfly, leaving only its frame to keep it simple.

Neat & Tangled: Sparkle and Shine

May13-Release

This month, Neat & Tangled will be releasing 3 stamp sets and 4 new sequin colors! Today, you will get to see one of the stamp sets from this release: Sparkle & Shine. Those diamonds are just perfect for wedding and engagement cards!

In my first card, I used stamped the circle and the smaller diamond on top to create a ring. I stamped all three sizes of stars onto the card base and finished off with a sentiment from Party Dots for a simple engagement card.

Next, I made a fun shaker card with the largest diamond. I filled the shaker card with some coarse glitter and silver flat sequins to that the diamond would be shiny and glittery.

Mama Elephant – More Cards!

I am back with my last post for Mama Elephant with some cards featuring April’s Release.

I used my favorite stamp set from the release: Central Park. There’s just something about cityscapes that draw me to them.

My first card uses the horse carriage and the cityscape with a Christmas sentiment from Believe in Magic. I created a winter shaker card filled with coarse glitter as snow.

Mama Elephant - Central Park

The horse carriage was stamped on white paper and cut out to create a frame backed with a piece of clear cardstock. I then stamped the cityscape and sentiment underneath and did some distress ink blending for the sky. Glitter and silver sequins were sandwiched in between for a fun shaker card.

My second card uses Flashy Letters again. You know what alphabets are good for? Making your own fun sentiments!

This Korean sentiment is exactly what I think of these letters- DAEBAK! – meaning awesome!

Then I did something I used to do during class – doodle. I drew a speech bubble for the sentiment, a giraffe, a screaming kitty, a dangling light bulb and a little girl.

And this is it. Although this is the end of guesting with Mama Elephant, you will always find me working with their stamps in future projects!

Thank you so much to Kryssi for this wonderful opportunity!

Mama Elephant – Guest Design

I’m so excited to be able to guest for Mama Elephant this month. They have lots of fun and fresh sentiments stamps that’s perfect for card making and scrapbooking.

My first card features one of April’s release, Tree Friends.

I found the perfect pattern paper for the tree image and aged the edges with some distress inks (thanks Tasnim!). The tree was coloured with corresponding colors from the pattern paper. A very different style from what I usually do, but I love this card so much!

Next, I’m using Flashy Letters in a softer and more feminine way.

I stamped and cut out the letters, made clothespin using Midnight Letters and stamped the hearts from Central Park behind to mimic some bokeh.

Thank you so much to Kryssi for the opportunity to guest with Mama Elephant this month! I’ll be back for more projects next week :)
