DAEBAK!

Hehehe…. I’ve been keeping this a secret, but if you follow the news on PaperCrafts Connection, you’ll know that I was one of the lucky winners for the Stamping Royalty 2013 Contest!!

And in the same category as my WCMD win – Love!

So here’s a thank you card to express my gratitude to the PaperCrafts team for choosing my card!

I made a very simple card stamped with Paper Smooches Alphadot in five languages. I then added some glossy accents in all the little holes.

Thanks Gift Set - Card

Of course, a single card would be too plain so I made a few more into a gift set! I made a box out of some clear cardstock and decorated the front with some stamping and a simple tag.

Here is a close up of the envelopes and some stickers made with Papertrey Ink’s Postmark stamp set included in the gift set for some fun customization.

CFC #78 – Christmas Penguin

Trying some torn vellum to play along with this week’s CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. To give it a little holiday spirit, I used the Santa hat from Neat & Tangled’s Hey Cookie stamp set.

Also playing along with this week Paper Smooches Spark Challenge.

I took a little spin on the sketch and used the torn edge of the vellum as my “border”.

Christmas Penguin

I backed everything with some washi tape that I finally bought at Target this past weekend.

WCMD – Thank You!!

Last Wednesday, I got an email from Holly and it started like this:

Dear Pamela,

It is with great delight that I notify you that you (yes, YOU!) are a winner of Paper Crafts magazine’s 2012 World Card Making Day Contest! {Go ahead and scream!}

One of my cards was selected as a winner in the Love Category for the World Card Making Day contest with Paper Crafts Magazine. Happy mail dance!

Here’s a card that I entered into the Thanks category that didn’t get picked. Thank you Paper Crafts and all the readers!

WCMD - Thank You

I don’t usually stamp directly onto the cardstock since anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. I really like the ending result of this card!

Thank You Thank You – Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI (white) Recollections (Vellum)
Stamps: Paper Smooches (Reflections) PTI (Inside & Out: Thank You)
Ink: PTI (True Black, Harvest Gold, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado)
Others: PTI (Spring Moss button) WPlus9 (Folk Art dies)

PC Gallery Idol – Feel Better Soon

I’ve had this idea for quite a while already so I’m very excited to finally get inky and stamp this card. A very simple encouragement card for someone blue.

Feel Better Soon

A close up of the card. I stamped the circle from Rosie Posie stamp set and added the faces with a white gel pen. It came out really ugly in the photograph, but trust me, the faces are white. Then I did a coating of clear embossing powder to secure the face.

A little off topic – yesterday I went to Yokoyaya in Downtown to see if there are any items different from Aberdeen Daiso – and I found felt! At $2 a pack of felt of 4 colors, it’s really not that bad. I have yet to cut with them so I’m not sure of the quality, but the colors are gorgeous.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI ( white)
Stamps: PTI (Rosie Posie, On the Couch, Movers & Shakers Sentiments)
Ink: PTI (True Black) Impress (Gypsy Blue, Strawberry)
Other: clear embossing powder

PC Gallery Idol: Sofa?

My first year in Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Competition!  Of course it’s still the open audition round (because honestly, what are my chances to get to top 20?)  The theme was announced last Friday, so I quickly made an encouragement card with a new PTI set that I bought on behalf of my friend.

A very simple card, but I love this so much ♥

Sofa?

Close Up of the “graduated” embossing and the clear embossing in the background. Isn’t this amazing? It looks sooooo cool, but this was a total unexpected mistake :(
