I’m very excited to be guest designing for KK and his Etsy stores - Craft Pon and Stamp Cow - two stores that offers many crafting supplies and wooden stamps.  For the next week or so, I will be sharing some cards and projects that I have made his stamps and supplies!

I had the opportunity to play around with some of the adorable stamps that Stamp Cow offers. It has been awhile since I’ve worked with wooden stamps

Today, I’m sharing two mini cards featuring the adorable Cute Robot.

The first one is a very simple paper pieced robot, cut out and mounted on foam tape to the card. I did a little blending with some Hero Arts Tide Pool around the edges and finished off with some American Arts twine.

My second card uses the same robot, paper pieced with some pattern paper from Crate Paper. My mom bought a few guitar clips so I thought it’d be fun having my robot play the guitar! The card base was blended with Hero Arts Soft Cantaloupe and Antique Linen.

The first thing I thought of was letterpress. But the problem was I didn’t have any embossing folders! So I decided to do something differently. I stamped the balloons from Smoocheroos and colored it in similar colors. Using a copic blender, I drew my own polka dots, stripes and grids to create a tone-on-tone look.

And of course, lots of glossy accents to finish it off

And this week’s Cool Shades is yellow, mint, turquoise and green!

I used the light bulb from Freezy Fellas and stamped in repeatedly under the hand-stitched “strings” and coloured it in the cool shades colors.  Then I finished the card off with a sentiment from Sentiment Sampler.  Finally, a true one-layer card!

Supplies:

The closest stamp related to travelling would be this paper airplane from Lawn Fawn’s Flying By. I used a few stamps from Mama Elephant to create a cityscape “world” and a sentiment from Bling.

I did some masking, blending… and some more masking to keep it an almost-one-layer card. I just couldn’t resist popping up the paper plane at the end.

Since my mom was in Hong Kong during Mother’s Day, I wanted to take this chance to make up for the card. I had already given her a present before she left but what’s a gift without a card?

I stamped the flower from Pretty Momma and coloured it using whatever copics I have. I really like the effect of glossy accents so I applied a thick coat on just the flower petals.
