Ellen Hutson – Spring 2015 Hop
April 28, 2015
Hello, and welcome to the Spring 2015 Essentials by Ellen Release Hop! I’ll be showcasing some of the new stamp sets and dies In my post today!
And, yay!!! I also get to give this new stamp set, called Mondo Magnolia to a lucky someone! Please leave a comment to enter my giveaway!
I use this gorgeous stamp set for a Mother’s day card. I first did some watercolouring using a water brush and Loew-Cornell watercolour cakes to create some simple pink paint strokes.
I then stamped the large Magnolia using Versafine Onyx onto the watercolouring and did some stitching around the card base for some simple details. I finished off by stamping a sentiment from Amazing Women and popped it up with some foam tape.
Here’s my finished card!
I have another project using the Be-you-tiful Die and Wild Garden Dies to create an elegant card.
I die cut the flowers with some vellum and stitched it on a piece of cardstock and the cardbase. I then die cut the sentiment in black and adhered it onto the card with some foam tape. A simple card with no stamping 🙂
The fun begins in the CLASSroom and there is also a Grand Giveaway! To enter, be sure to leave a comment there, and at every stop along the hop by May 5th! Winners will be announced May 8th.
Here are the amazing designers that are joining this grand release:

Hi Pamela!! How do you get by with so little color? I think you just proved that I’m addicted to color, and here I thought I was complicated or the opposite of CAS. LOL Is it just your simplistic style? I wish I were brave eough to use a few smudges of color, like your pink flower. I ALWAYS feel like I have to fill the space with color. And I’m working so hard to leave white space on my Mother’s Day gifts/greeting cards. More out of the necessity to get done and not be to complicated. They say, the first step to over coming is admitting, right!? LOL I’m addicted to color. I love both of your cards. The florals in this release are amazing.
