Good morning everyone! I am on the Mama Elephant‘s blog for a simple and fun card using Dim Sum Fun. Since I’m Chinese, I love this stamp set and I’m laughing as I colour in those adorable dim sum!

I wanted a colourful, but simple background for my card base so I decided to do some simple plaid blending/masking. I love doing these backgrounds because (1) they are really really easy and (2) I don’t have to worry about the alignment or not getting a good coverage with a stripe stamp.

I peel off the masking tape and I turn the card around and start taping the other way.

DS - Dim Sum - 2

I’ve coloured and die cut these cuties and I start arranging them on my card. With 9 types of dim sum, it would be a perfect 3×3 grid.

DS - Dim Sum - 3

I stamped this punny sentiment out and cut out a rectangle that would fit perfectly between the first and second row of dim sums.

What’s your favourite dim sum? My favourite would definitely be the steamed bunny buns!

Good morning everyone! I’m here with Mama Elephant with a fun little stationery set that I created using the newly released stamp sets and creative cuts. When I first saw the individual kitties from The Cat’s Meow, I thought they would make some adorable mini bookmarks!

The first thing I did was stamp out the individual kitty on a long strip of paper and had it partially cut. Don’t run the entire die through the paper, but instead, leave a little bit so the kitty isn’t fully cut.

DS - The Cat's Meow - 1

Next, using my fine liner, I extended the the cat down the paper. Using a craft knife, I carefully cut out the long strip of cardstock.

DS - The Cat's Meow - 2

I coloured the bookmark in with my copics. Be sure to extend the colouring down through the bookmark. You’ll see what I mean when you look at my project photo.

DS - The Cat's Meow - 3

To ensure that the bookmark can withstand the toughest wear and tear, I cut out 2 more pieces of cardstock and adhered them together. I decided to go for coloured cardstock for the bottom so it’s not entirely white.

Next, I needed a card to go with this little gift, so I coloured and cut out the kitty using Favor Bag Accessory and adhered it to the front of the card base.

DS - The Cat's Meow - 5

I combined the Number It creative cuts, Index Card creative cuts and the sentiment from Monster Jam to finish off the card.

DS - The Cat's Meow - 6

Lastly, I stamped that gang of kitties onto my kraft envelope and coloured in a few of the kitties using my pencil crayons. It’s one big kitty fest here!

And the winner of a little package!

Congratulations to Mary-Anne V.! Please email your mailing address to pamelaho88[at]gmail.com and I’ll get your package out ASAP!

Good morning everyone! Remember my stampede card with the “29+1” birthday sentiment? Well, for Chinese people, turning 60 wasn’t something to be unhappy about. In fact it’s something that’s so happy that many people throw large birthday celebrations to celebrate 60th birthday!

A friend’s dad turned 60 just a few weeks ago so I made sure to highlight the digits with a fun and colourful background.

SH - Celebration Balloons

The window was die-cut from the new Framed Tags Chelsea and the number dies are from Number It creative cuts.

I stitched the garlands onto the card and decorated it with the tassels from Celebration Balloons.

Good morning everyone! I’ve got a colourful project featuring the adorable Summer Days stamp set which I paired up with Celebrations Balloon for a party-mood birthday card.

The background was masked off and blended with yellow and blue along with specks of white so it won’t look too boring!

SH - Summer Days

The little critters and the balloon were coloured using copics, finished off with a sentiment from Monster Jam. Have I mentioned how much I love the sentiments from Monster Jam? The font is adorable but not overly cute and the sentiments are perfect!

Hello and good morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend and I hope you’re ready for our May Stampede! We’ve got another big release and there’s gotta be something for everyone!

I used the adorable FBA Bear on my birthday card. Apparently “29+1” is the new way to say “30”. I guess changing digit is always something to be excited about! I coloured each little part of my bear with my blending tool and started to assemble Brown (the adorable bear from Line Friends).

Stampede - FB Bear

I wanted it to be a bright coloured card so I used a bright blue for my background along with yellow digits and the perfect sentiment to celebrate 29+1 in style!

Good morning and welcome to Friday! I have another project using Mama Elephant‘s April release and it’s a super adorable and customizable stamp set called Sticky Notes. I love the little critters sticking out of the stickies!

I made another long card this time because I wanted more room to work with. Someone asked me for the size, and I didn’t really measure the cardstock when I cut it. But it’s approximately 3.25 inches wide x 6.25 inches tall. The reason for these weird measurements is because I wanted them to fit in these long envelopes I got from Hong Kong!

SH - Sticky Notes

So first, I blended my card base with orange and yellow, and flicked some white opaque paint onto the card. I stamped the stickies on another piece of cardstock and cut them out. The clips, post-in and critters are coloured using copics.

The top sticky was adhered using foam tape and the bottom sticky was adhered using a piece of cardstock. I like to add depth and minimize bulk by using 1 layer of foam tape for the top and a thick piece of cardstock for the bottom one.

GIVEAWAY!!
I’ve accumulated a huge stack of cards (way more than I can use!) so I thought I’d give out some of my Mama Elephant projects to a lucky reader! Just comment on any of my April project blog posts (excluding the Stampede) and you’ll be entered into a draw for a special package 🙂 You can also let me know in the comments if there are certain cards that you would like!

Hello everyone! We’ve got some fun products in store for everyone today! I’m kicking off the release with a super adorable add-on for the Favor Bag that was released last month – and this one is perfect for Easter!

Stampede - FBA Bunny

I decided to use the Bunny Favor Bag Accessory on a card to store a little gift card instead of using it on the favor bag. I die cut several of the flowers to give Miss Bunny a colourful flower wreath. The little dies that comes with this set is perfect to create the adorable bunny look!
