CFC 113 – Sepia
August 29, 2013
Welcome to another CAS-ual Friday Challenge!! This will be my last challenge with them and it has been an amazing term. But I know there are some very talented designers joining CAS-ual Fridays who will inspire you all!
This challenge will be using kraft to create a feminine card. Can you believe I ran out of kraft cardstock?? This little piece here was the only piece of kraft cardstock I had left!
For my card, I die cut a circle and filled the bottom edge with flowers and leaves using a sepia color scheme. I finished the card off with a simple “thanks” sentiment to express my gratitude to Michele and the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge team.

Welcome back to another week of CAS-ual Friday Challenge with a fun color combination: aqua, green and orange.
I decided to create a very simple mini card using patterned paper and a die from Paper Smooches that I got recently.
This card measures to be 2.9″ x 2.9″ which is just perfect for the small envelope die from Simon Says! I cut a piece of vellum and adhered it to the front of the mini envelope so I could address the card to the recipient.

It’s another week with CAS-ual Friday Challenge with buttons!! I love buttons. I hoard them – which is why you rarely see buttons on my cards!
This was a super fun card to make! I had fun combining all sorts of stamps from different manufacturers – see if you can identify them all!
The card came together easily when I got out all the stamps I wanted to use. But I had this this *aha!* moment when I stamped the ribbon. Because it was a solid stamp, I felt that it was missing something. So I partially stamped one of the petals from Calico as “ribbon folds” in a darker pink.
Finished the card with a small heart button that I found in my stash and some blending around the edges using Jenni Bowlin’s Bubble Gum ink.

It’s another week with CAS-ual Friday Challenge and this time, we’re using numbers! Got some numbers die? Left over number stickers? It’s time to use them!
I wanted to make something other than a birthday card, so I made a thank you card instead.
Short Japanese Lesson: In Japanese, “3” could be pronounced as “san” where “9” can be pronounced as “kyu”. Now put “3” and “9” together and you get “san-kyu” which sounds like “thank you”!
So I die cut “39” from some white cardstock and stamped the sentiment from Big Thanks for a fun Japanese wordplay.

CFC 109 – Polka Days
July 11, 2013
We’re back with another week of CAS-ual Friday Challenge with polka dots! I have been using quite a bit of polka dot pattern paper this year and was very excited to use this one from Amy Tangerine’s Ready Set Go collection!
I colored the cute puppy from Puppy Pals with my copic markers. I love leaving just a tiny white strip uncolored on the puppy to give it a sharp highlight. Finished the card off with a dymo sentiment and some distress ink blending around the edges.
