I’m super excited to be celebrating with Altenew for their 2nd Anniversary! Thank you May for inviting me to join in on the fun!

I have two projects to show you made with the gorgeous Altenew stamps. I made a very simple (almost one layer!) card using Garden Grow. I stamped the images in a cluster at the bottom of the card base and made a few mask so I can blend in different colours. I purposely offset the mask so there would be a white highlight for the image.

I love the bright colours for these images!

My second one uses the stamp set Painted Inspiration. I blended some light blue, purple and dark blue for the top of the card and stamped the sentiment in the middle. I adhered a few star masks so I could have stars falling down from the top.

Altenew October Release Hop

October 27, 2014

blog hop3

Welcome to Altenew’s third Blog Hop! Altenew is a relatively new stamp company that opened it’s doors in April 2014. Today they are celebrating the release of their third collection of stamps. All the stamps that you will see here are available for purchase at the Altenew store and the Simon Says Stamp store.

You’ve arrived from the talented Jennifer Mcguire ‘s blog. I’m super excited to be participating in Altenew’s release blog hop this month!  I’m so proud of my RIC buddies Tasnim and Jen for their fresh and unique stamp designs! I am working with Lacy Scrolls and Lyrical Script. I’m pretty sure Tasnim designed the first one and Jen designed the latter 😉

Here is the complete list of participants for the hop:

Jennifer Mcguire

Agnieszka Malyszek
Joni Andaya
Yana Smakula
Iwona Palamountain

So let’s see what happens when you put Tasnim’s design and Jen’s handwriting together:

Oct Release

I stamped the gorgeous Lacy Scrolls at the bottom of the card base in bold black. I masked the sentiment and stamped the bottom part in black and Jen’s handwriting in gold. I’ve been making a lot of cutesy cards these days so I was happy to end up with a simple, elegant, one-layer card.

Oct Release 2

Actually, I was about to call it a card after stamping the sentiment. But I felt the card needed a little oomph so I flicked some gold splatters onto the bottom half of the card. I masked off the sentiment so keep that part nice and clean.

Oct Release 1

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away five stamp sets of choice to three lucky winners! The winners will be chosen from comments left on the Altenew blog.

But wait! There’s more!

I will choose a winner from comments left on this post and the prize will be two stamp sets of your choice.
You have until Friday October 31, 11:59 EST to leave your comments. You may enter up to two comments on each blog:

• Comment on the project, or the stamps.
• Like us on Facebook

The winners will be selected and announced on Saturday November 1 at 9:00 am EST.

Now it’s time to hop over to another queen of CAS – Agnieszka Malyszek.

Guest @ Waffle Flower

September 24, 2014

Hello everyone! Back in August, Nina from Waffle Flower invited me to be a guest designer in August. Of course I couldn’t say ‘no’ to her!

A few days late is better than nothing right 🙂 I love this simple one-layer card so much! I used A Homemade Christmas stamp set and stamped a line of houses. In rainbow of course.

I just love this Christmas stamp! It has pretty much everything you need to create a simple Christmas card this season! Go to Waffle Flower blog for more inspiration!

Top Dog Dies – Guest

August 19, 2014

Hello everyone! I’m excited to be guesting over at Top Dog Dies today!

Top Dog Dies is a new online store that offers their own brand of wafer-thin and steel-rule dies, along with dies from brands you already know and trust, including Little B, Lawn Fawn, Taylored Expressions, Savvy Stamps and Cheery Lynn Designs. Top Dog Dies is also the leading U.S. retailer for Tattered Lace, a new line of intricate dies designed by British designer Stephanie Weightman.

Let’s get to the projects! For this project, I used the Top Dog Dies Butterfly die to make a white-on-white shaped card. Head over to the blog to see how I made it!

My next card is a simple birthday card using the stitched die from Butterfly Finishers.
