Designer Series – Botanic Hello
January 31, 2017
Good morning everyone! I’m back on Mama Elephant‘s blog for a project using the gorgeous Botanic Hello. I just love colouring the flowers of this stamp set!
This stamp set is awesome when you’re in need of some simple postcards. I love creating postcards these days because I don’t need to make any envelopes for them. All I need to do is to write a simple message stick a stamp in the corner and mail it out! Plus it gives the mailman/lady some eye candy too 🙂
I started by stamping out the large stamp set on a piece of cardstock and coloured it in with copics.
Since I’m using copics for colours and it bleeds through my cardstock, I created 2 pieces of cardstock at the same size and I simply adhere them together so you can’t see the bleeding. Plus it’s more sturdy this way!
I added some sparkles to the word “hello”, with more sparkles at the bottom of the letters and gradually spacing them apart at the top.
The back of the postcard was decorated using the stitched line from the stamp set as well as Crafty Labels for the lines.
And there you have it! A simple yet stunning postcard for your recipient. The mailman/lady will certainly enjoy delivering this!

Stamp Highlight – Botanic Hello
January 20, 2017
We’re at our last day of our Stamp Highlights, but don’t worry! We’ve got some amazing cards up for our Designer Series later on! We’re showcasing the gorgeous florals in the stamp set Botanic Hello and it’s definitely my favourite for this month!
I stamped out the florals and coloured them in with my copics. I had so much fun colouring in these beautiful flowers and I wanted to make them all pink because these reminds me of cherry blossoms.
It’s a little hard to see, but I used my glitter pen and stippled the alphabets so they are a little glittery when you tilt it back and forth. I also flicked some white paint onto the flowers so the colours won’t look too plain. Flicking white paint, glitter paint or just water is a great way to add dimensions to a card!

Stamp Highlight -Hello Friend Wishes
June 24, 2016
Good morning everyone! Welcome back as we continue the Stamp Highlights for Mama Elephant’s June release! We’re highlighting the last stamp of this release, Hello Friend Wishes. This stamp set has this huge sentiment that’s perfect for a quick hello card!
I created a simple background by blending ink around the four corners to create a colourful border to ground my sentiment.
I finished off with this fun group of Girlfriends and a sentiment from Hello Friend Wishes.

Stamp Highlight – Whale Wishes
March 17, 2016
Hello everyone! Welcome to the first day of Mama Elephant‘s first Stamp Highlight of March! We’ll be taking a good look at Whale Wishes
I made a very simple card using the Ocean Waves creative cuts as masks and blended in some light and dark blue.
I didn’t want to layer the whales under the waves, so I masked off a part of them and blended in the blues to make them look like they are partly under the water.

Designer Series – Space Bears
March 7, 2016
Good morning! I’m taking over Mama Elephant’s blog for today with a card featuring Space Bears and its coordinating Creative Cuts. This is such an adorable set and there are so many things you can do with it!
I started off by cutting out all my elements – Mr. Space Bear and the different rockets. I used my copics to colour the bear and rockets, leaving a white line for highlights. I purposely didn’t blend the colours together for that “vector art” feel.
I knew I wanted to do some colourblocking in a circle so I first masked off a circle, and then using washi tape, masked off a few shapes.
I masked off each shape and blended a shade of pink, purple and blue into the circle. This is what it looks like after all the shapes are coloured in! I also flicked some water to create the look of stars.
I adhered each element that I previously coloured in to the card base and stitched a white line behind each rocket to make them look like they’re moving.
I finished off with a simple “hello” sentiment from Labeled Messages. This is the perfect stamp set to get if you are looking into a dymo labeler! This stamps the perfect labeled sentiment, complete with all those grooves and shadows.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope this post inspired you to use your stamp sets!
