Moxie Fab Thanks! Blog Hop
November 9, 2013
Cath’s last post on Moxie Fab World was a big shocker to many paper crafters. Today, we’re all celebrating how Moxie Fab Cath is with one of the biggest blog hop!
You should have arrived from one of our WCMD 2013 winner, the amazing Alice! If you get lost, you can start from the beginning at Moxie Fab World.
For me, Moxie Fab World is my daily source for inspiration. Cath posts some of the most amazing photos for Tuesday Triggers. And Oh My Moxie Fab posts are definitely another favorite of mine. Also, I was very fortunate to be one of the last Moxie Fabber of the Week.
Here’s a card dedicated to Cath – because she is simply amazing.
I used some of the moxie fab trends that Cath talks about – triangles, stamping on cork, wood veneers and of course, inspiration from pinterest! (Original inspiration from Craftgawker.)
Your next stop is the amazing Queen of party planning, Elena Roussakis!
Cath, you will be missed!

Handmade Cards Week: Metal, Wood, Cork
September 21, 2013
So I have a stack of business-card sized wood veneer sheets at home. My mom loves them. Me? Not so much. Until I had this crazy idea with the Memory Box Country Landscape die that I recently purchased.
Now you have to know that not every one of my cards come together easily. Many bloopers just don’t make it to the screen. For this card, I must have wasted 3-4 sheets of wood veneer. Trees were falling off, the frame was cracking… it’s all part of working with wood veneer sheets.
Here is the finished card. Looks simple. Was supposed to be simple. But the partial cutting took some trials and errors.
I love framed country landscape. To make it more mail-friendly, (ie – wood not cracking when mailed) I adhered a lot of foam tape underneath so it wouldn’t be crushed so easily.
This card will be entered into Moxie Fab World’s Metal, Wood & Cork Challenge.

Trendy Triangles
July 27, 2013
When I saw this image on pinterest, I wanted to replicate this on a card. Moxie Fab World’s current Trendy Triangles Challenge was the final push for me to get the card done.

I started off by cutting up some washi tape into very very thin strips and started layering down the triangles.
Yes, I’m doing the washi-tape masking again 🙂 After an hour or so, masking was finally done.
And so begins the sponging!! I pulled out my ink pads and started applying colors to the triangles.
Finished the card off with a simple sentiment.

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge
July 25, 2013
It feels like it has been forever since I last played along with Papertrey Ink’s July Blog Hop Challenge! I took the second “Fruit of Summer” color inspiration as well as Moxie Fab World’s Painterly Palette together and made a simple card.

So here’s my take on both photos. I stamped the triangles in colors that were common between the two photos: pink, dark yellow, light yellow, light green and dark green. I love the bright rows of triangles!
A close up of the butterfly. I die cut the butterfly from clear cardstock and stamped the coordinating butterfly stamp in white stazon. I love how you can see the white stripes of the butterfly, but still be able to see the colors and sentiment that is underneath it.
ETA: Also entering this card into Moxie Fab World’s Trendy Triangles Challenge.
