Good morning everyone! I’ve got a Mother’s Day card that I want to share with you all! I combined the stamp set Sweetest Greetings with The Cat’s Meow together in the card that I gave to my mom-in-law for Mother’s Day.

I did a little bit of partial cutting with the cats peeking out of the circle. I coloured these little guys in copics with my favourite kitty combinations listed below:

Brown – E33, E53, E51, E50
Dark Grey – W5, W3, W1
Black – N5, N3, N1

SH - Sweetest Greetings

I used the little fish stamp for my background pattern and gave it specks of black paint.

Hello everyone! We’re at our 2nd stamp highlight for Mama Elephant‘s April release using the stamp set Pretty Peonies. Peonies are one of my favourite flowers and I was super excited to see this set just in time for Mother’s Day!

With Beauty and the Beast coming out in theatres, I wanted to create my own version of the rose-trapped-in-glass, but with a slight twist by using the gorgeous peonies. And not just 1 peony. I wanted to use a bunch of them. I first cut out my panel using the new Lafayette creative cuts, the next framed tag series.

SH - Pretty Peonies

I coloured my flowers in light pink with a hint of purple, and cut them out with my craft knife. I placed the largest one in the center and slipped the smaller ones behind it.

My 2nd Mother’s Day card is down and I’m finished with my Mother’s Day cards for this year!

GIVEAWAY!!
I’ve accumulated a huge stack of cards (way more than I can use!) so I thought I’d give out some of my Mama Elephant projects to a lucky reader! Just comment on any of my April project blog posts (excluding the Stampede) and you’ll be entered into a draw for a special package 🙂 You can also let me know in the comments if there are certain cards that you would like!

Good morning everyone! I’m sharing a project over at Mama Elephant’s blog using the new April release stamp set called Wishing You. It has a gorgeous (and huge!) sentiment in the best handlettering with a lot of little phrases that you can tag on to create your own personalized card for any occasion.

I paired this sentiment up with another April release stamp set called Pretty Peonies, the next stamp set in the Floral series. With Mother’s Day coming up, these flowers are perfect for that day! I first stamped a border of these beautiful peonies and coloured them in with my copics.

SH - Wishing You

I stamped the large sentiment right above the flowers, overlapping some of the petals so the sentiment won’t look as if it’s floating alone by itself on the card. I stamped out the second phrase on a scrap piece of cardstock, and adhered it to the card as if it was a label.

SH - Wishing You (Close)

And there you have a very simple, colourful card, perfect for Mother’s Day!

Mama Elephant - January Stampedewww.mamaelephant.com

Hello and happy Easter weekend! I’m super excited to join the Mama Elephant stampede this month (had a little bit of a hiccup with Canada Post last month!) and I’m showcasing the adorable stamp set called Sticky Notes. My favourite part is the little clip on top of the little sticky and how customizable it is!

Stampede - Sticky Notes

I stamped the little standalone binder clip as the background and die cut a stitched circle in the middle I stamped the little kitty and dog around the circle and coloured them in copics.

I finished the card off with a sentiment stamped on the sticky and adhered it with some foam tape in the middle of the circle.

To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is picking 3 winners to win their choice of stamp set! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. You have up to 4 chances to qualify to win!

Hello everyone! Unfortunately I couldn’t participate in the stampede this month… but I am back with my first stamp highlight with the adorable Nom Nom Kitties with Mama Elephant!

I’ve always wanted to do a tall skinny card ever since I got some tall envelopes, and this stamp set would make the perfect card to go with my Japanese envelopes!

SH - Nom Nom Kitties

I used some washi tapes to do the masking and blending for a plaid panel. I cut my circle out with Sew Fancy creative cuts, and adhered little kitty in the center.

With all those food circling little kitty, I’m pretty sure she was thinking “YASSSSSSS!”

I’m using the new Blessings die where I adhered it using foam tape onto a geometric pattern that was blended directly onto the cardbase. I went with an Autumn colour theme, using oranges/red/green and brown for the shapes. I splattered some water using a brush onto the card base so the inks would react to the water and create fainter colours.

Good morning everyone! Did you miss us last month? To compensate for that, we have an amazing release this month with something for everyone! The school year is starting soon so we have Page Huggers that’s perfect for back-to-school gifts!

I made a card featuring Page Huggers finished off with a sentiment from Words Defined. I couldn’t decide which little critter to use to for this project, I decided to use Mr. Rabbit with his carrots. You’ll see Mr. Mouse and Miss Kitty showing up in my next projects soon!

Mama Elephant - Page Huggers

I blended in a light blue behind the sentiment to give it a splash of colours. Then I adhered the carrots on the top and bottom of the sentiment, as though carrots are growing out from behind.
